Pennie is a member of the American Psychology Association.
She focuses primarily on women's issues and couples' issues in her practice. She also works with individuals in recovery from
addictions and War Veterans challenged by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. - She uses cognitive-behavioral techniques, as well as *EMDR, to aid clients
in returning quickly to a healthy level of functioning. While some problems may require a lengthy treatment, Pennie believes
that many issues people are challenged by today require relatively brief interventions, allowing the individual to progress
on their own with infrequent "check ups" or "booster sessions".
- Pennie believes that clients ultimately have the answers within themselves and enjoys
her job of assisting them in bringing these solutions to the surface. She works collaboratively with each client to determine
the type of treatment needed.

| Pennie earned a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelors
Degree in Psychology at the University of North
Texas. Pennie is fully trained in *EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization
and Reprocessing), a technique primarily used with clients who have experienced trauma. She has also trained with Pia Mellody
at The Meadows (residential treatment
facility for addictions) in Wickenburg, AZ.
